RESIDENT VISIT STAFF

RESIDENT VISIT PROGRAM
AER Regulations state that companies must visit the residents that live in the Emergency Planning Zones (EPZ) of their facilities. In the SPOG area where a dozen or more companies EPZ’s overlap, SPOG has developed a unique visit program where SPOG staff visit the residents on behalf of all companies annually. This saves costs for the industry, decreases the disruption to residents, and improves public safety by having more data available in an emergency.

RESIDENT VISIT MATERIAL
Along with our annual visits, SPOG distributes a folder to residents which contains pertinent information regarding emergency response, commonly used terms, local industry member information and more. To view the documents as delivered in the Resident visit folders, please click onto the following links:

  • Letter to the Landowner/Resident, pertaining to the purpose of Resident Visits and the contents of the package.

  • Emergency Response Plan Information, with important instructions, contact information, action plans and more.
